I had the honor and the pleasure of getting an exclusive first listen to the new band SHOK BONE – and it hits straight between the ears. Think Stone Temple Pilots, The Hellacopters, or early Silverchair – big names, sure. But they serve as a rough compass in the massive jungle that is rock’n’roll today.
SHOK BONE sound tight, laid-back, and ready to groove with some serious cojones. The guitars take the lead here – the riffs hit hard, and the fierce solo leaves a lasting mark. Floating above it all: a raw, emotional voice that grabs you and doesn’t let go.
The band is locked in, the first song is done, and the rock’n’roll ride is about to begin. It feels like freedom – like tearing up the night with your crew. You can almost hear the beer can crack open – and before it’s even empty, you’ve hit repeat and surrendered to this first tasty punch from SHOK BONE.
